E-Ganna
The state government has given a new weapon to the sugarcane farmers to protect them from black marketing of sugarcane slips. The government has released an app. The name of this app is e-cane app. With this new mobile app, e-sugarcane app, sugarcane farmers will be able to get a lot of information sitting at home. Just one click, lots of information will be available on your mobile.
Now the department will feed the calendar in the E-ganna app in which farmers can get details about the cane crushing. But, no information regarding the payment will be given to the farmers. The app will also provide data about cane crushing during the last few seasons. The cane farmers can download the app from play store and install on their mobiles to get the details.
Through this app, farmers will now be able to gather information directly about the sale of sugarcane and other information online. Through this app, farmers can get all the information related to selling sugarcane, survey data, government information related to sugarcane (pre calendar), basic quota and sugarcane slip.

Major Benefits

 The Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched “E-Ganna App” (E-Ganna) for the convenience of sugarcane farmers. Through this app, many problems of sugarcane farmers, including cane arrears, will be solved easily.

    This app will easily solve many problems of sugarcane farmers including cane arrears payment.
    Through this app, farmers can get all information related to selling sugarcane, survey data, government information related to sugarcane (pre calendar), basic quota and sugarcane slip. Sugarcane will also be curbed.
    All information from the slip will be sent directly to the farmers on their mobiles, this will also eliminate the work of middlemen.
    Many farmers are taking advantage of this new system.

Key Features of App

    The government claims that this step will benefit about 50 lakh farmers of the state.
    Sugarcane is cultivated around 28 lakh hectares in the state.
    Uttar Pradesh is first in the country in sugarcane production while it is second in the country in sugar production.
    Sugarcane production is done in 44 districts of the state, of which 28 districts are identified for sugarcane production.
    There are 119 sugar mills currently operating in the state.
    This app will easily solve many problems of sugarcane farmers including cane arrears payment.
