Specification As an IT Operations Specialist you will bring innovation and efficiencies to the IT department that is accountable for business and technical services. You will be responsible for delivering new and enhancing existing services by embracing automation and continual service improvement across the group. You will provide timely resolution to escalated incidents, service requests and problems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive operational efficiencies by adopting innovation and automation, including the owning the underpinnings technologies
  2. Manage the innovation and technical pipeline and escalated problems, working to prioritise solutions from the technical backlog
  3. Take ownership and manage the problem management process, conduct reviews to minimise major incidents.
  4. Hold periodical reviews of active problems, event logs and known error database.
  5. Hold brainstorming sessions to identify trends and carry out proactive problem management creating items for the technical pipeline
  6. Work within a team to deliver services into production, including upgrading and decommissioning
  7. Demonstrate and foster a collaborative team approach and interact well with all functions and management providing consultation and expert advice
  8. Demonstrable documentation skills
IT Desktop Support

Desktop support is a type of technical support where a technician is called to fix a desktop system, or its supporting hardware, software in an organization or at a designated field website. The desktop support technician helps in troubleshooting the issue to ensure that systems are maintained in line with business goals IT support specialists that assist clients with hardware and software issues. Their job is to provide on-site or remote technical assistance including the setting up of computer hardware systems, installing and upgrading software, and troubleshooting basic IT issues. Skill Knowledge – Know your way around desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. Problem solving – Resolve problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Teamwork – Work well in a team-oriented environment.
